About Timothy
Hi, I’m Timothy Engqvist Johansson, a lifelong builder, coder, and entrepreneur from Sweden. I started programming when I was 14 and got my first software engineering job at 18. Along the way, I’ve worked with companies like Apple, Stormpath (acquired by Okta), and Octane, but I’ve always been most excited about creating products of my own.
Right now, I’m the founder and CEO of Nelly, an AI platform that makes it possible for anyone to create and use AI assistants. I previously ran Pine, a Bitcoin wallet designed to be simple, fast, and reliable. And before that I founded a transactional email SaaS in 2011, and a user auth SaaS in 2014 (UserApp, acquired by Stormpath).
When I’m not deep into development, you can usually find me experimenting with new ideas in AI, crypto, tinkering with product design, or sharing projects and thoughts on X, GitHub, and LinkedIn.
